Normally, I would just ride on the coattails of whatever end-of-the-week episode sketch Joaquim posts, because he does those better than I do/can, but it looks like he didn’t get a chance to do one this week. So I did a quick Asami painting to accompany the airing of episode 107 today. Hope you guys enjoy that one! It’s a doozy.

I want a sympathetic Equalist character, damn it.
1. The first character I first fell in love with
Definitely Korra! THE ARMS, THE ARMS. Maybe I should be more specific and just say Korra’s arms.
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now
Bolin. I thought he was going to be a butt monkey, which, well… he kind of is. But he’s just so precious. So heartachingly precious and sweet. ;-;
3. The character everyone else loves that I don’t
Mako. So far he just doesn’t hold much appeal for me. Like a lot of people, I was expecting him to be all angst like Zuko, but I was pleasantly surprised that he isn’t. But nothing about him really excites me when he’s on-screen. I feel like we don’t really know much about him. I hope/think he’ll get better as time goes on. But for now he just feels a little dull.
4. The character I love that everyone else hates
I don’t really love her, per se, because we haven’t had any time to see her develop much so soon into the show—but Asami. I see this a lot in fandom, where lady characters are spurned for liking male protagonists and it’s really grating.
5. The character I used to love but don’t any longer
None so far!
6. The character I would totally smooch
Smooch ALL THE CHARACTERS! But I would very much like to take Amon in a manly fashion.
7. The character I’d want to be like
Lin Beifong. Because she’s the HBIC. Also, her voice.
8. The character I’d slap
Tarrlok, because he is just rude. It was just so skeevy when he let the media pressure Korra into joining his task force.
9. A pairing that I love
Borraaaaa.
10. A pairing that I despise
Not despise, but one that I am a little tired of seeing would be Makorra.
